Privacy Policy

Information Collected

1- As part of your Panorist account, we may collect your name, email address, IP address, gender, and other demographic information. By giving us this information, you allow your information to be collected, used, disclosed anonymously, and stored by us. Panorist may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

2- We also collect basic program and application usage information, such as error logs and crash recovery logs.

3- We collect information about when and how long you are using your mobile device.

4- We may collect information about the places you visit using the GPS coordinates of your phone. You can set the phone to prevent our Services from accessing this information. By default, this feature is turned off. You must enable this feature to begin collecting location information.

5- You may connect your account to  Facebook, Google Plus, Instagram Twitter, Tumblr, or other sites to link your photos directly to other social sharing sites and blogs.

6- Advertisements shown to you may be related to textual information, such as metadata and notes, associated with the photo you are seeing, or the search term you entered.

7 – When you upload a photo with geographical data (i.e. from a mobile device) or manually geotag your photo, the photo’s location will be shown on a map

8- We may use image recognition algorithms to help you organize your photos and make it easier to search images. For example, the algorithms might identify and tag scenes, actions, objects, or public figures.

EXIF Data

1 – Exchangeable Image File Format (“EXIF”) data is a record of the settings and other relevant metadata inserted by a digital camera when you take a photo or video such as camera type, aperture, shutter speed, focal length, and location, among other information.

2 – Unless you turn off EXIF data on your camera or device or remove it from the picture before uploading to Panorist, We will receive and store EXIF data. By default, Panorist will display  EXIF data about photos or video you upload.

3 – Some cameras can store GPS (location) coordinates in a photo’s EXIF data. For your convenience, Panorist will import that data and use it to place your photos on the map automatically.

Data storage

1- Information stored on your account or device can not be accessed by any other application that you have installed without your permission.

2- We collect some aggregated information about the use of the phone, for example, how your use of the phone has changed throughout the use of our Service. This information is transferred to us anonymously.

3- We also collect basic information about using the program about how you use our Services and any errors you may encounter. This information is transferred to us securely.

Use of data

1- We use the information to improve the Services we offer by altering existing resources or creating new ones.

2- In the future, we may sell, merge with, buy or form partnerships with other companies. The information we collect may be among the transferred assets. If our Service is acquired or merged with another company, you will be notified through this page before any information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3- Some aggregated information about the use of the mobile device and basic information about the use of the program transferred to us will be kept anonymous. Such information will be excluded according to our regular retention schedule.

4- To permanently erase your location and use of the Service, delete your account and delete our mobile application from your mobile device.

5 – Panorist does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission

Data Protection

1- We take all reasonable steps to protect your information in an effort to prevent any misuse or unauthorized access to your information. Despite our efforts, there are no security measures that are 100% impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any type of abuse.

2- Your personal information may be transferred to countries other than your own to process and store data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and to provide you with products and services. Some of these countries may not have the same data protection safeguards as the country where you reside. We are committed to ensuring your information is protected and apply safeguards in accordance with applicable law.

Deletion and Data Management

1- We grant you the ability to access, rectify, and erase your data. Learn more on your Panorist profile on panorist.com/u/profile. In order to fully delete your account, you may contact us at support@panorist.com for your communication with the Subject “Account Deletion”.

2- When you delete your account, we delete the content you posted, such as photos and status updates, and it will not be possible to retrieve this information. Information that other people have shared about you is not part of your account and will not be deleted.

Changes to This Policy

Panorist may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Panorist account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
