ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY

For many photographers, photography is considered an art, although not all photos are artistic or creative.

The artistic is a type of photography that is not easy to define. Without going into the concepts of art, a photograph is considered artistic when the author creates his work in order to convey a feeling or sensation. In this case the phrase “intent is what counts”is very true. But also the result.

The purpose of artistic photography goes beyond the mere representation of reality. It does not even need to be beautiful, but it does provoke reactions.

Can a photo be a work of art?

Almost from the beginning, with few exceptions, photography has been considered another art, which uses as its main tool a camera and, in recent times, an editing program. Artistic photos are not taken, but are created, and depend on the artistic skills and creativity of the photographer or photographer, and on how to translate it into an image.

In this type of images, the intentionality of the professional photographer takes on vital importa

An artistic photo does not come out by chance. It takes a certain mastery of photographic technique, ability to observe, reflect on the concept that you want to transmit… and that “I don’t know what” to do something special. And lucky, because it does not always come out. And ability to react, because, sometimes, the end result is different from the projected. But an artist knows how to be there and adapt.

The rest of the photography, which is not considered artistic, captures the purely physical aspects of something, without the photographer’s intention to transform our mood or mood. However, there are also photographs that are not genuinely conceived by the photographer, but arise in front of him, which transmit sensations and excite us.

Creative Photography shows that most images can be categorized in several ways, especially as far as artistic photography is concerned. Subjectivity is the main feature of this type of photos. It is not enough that they are cool photos; they must convey sensations or emotions.

Therefore, this type of artistic expression speaks more about its author than about the object or subject portrayed. The American writer John Steinbeck said that”photography could be an extension of the mind and heart, and would be as good as the man who made it.”

Despite these individualities of artistic photography, he also tries to combine the expression of personal aspects of the photographer with universal issues in order to be able to approach most of the public.

A little-known artistic trend is Pinhole Photography, based on a technique that hardly uses photographic equipment. A pinhole camera is a box or tin with a small hole called a pinhole. On the opposite side there is a foil or film that should be placed in the dark room. It produces, if lucky, blurry, blurry and unique photos. It is considered creative photography.
